Piezometers

The soil consists of several layers with different soil types. Each type of soil has its unique characteristics, resulting in soft, but also more stable soils. Due to the different soils, the permeability of water is also variable. As a result, the water pressure of the groundwater can vary per area and depth. It is very important for building objects to determine and create the right water tension. This prevents the ground and therefore the object from sinking.
